2008 Officially Sucks!

My Fiance lost his job today. At 11am today my fiance was informed 12 people were going to be let go at 11:45 and he needed to be around to help with the layoffs (he is a manager). At 12:30 today he found out that his last day would be Friday. Are you Fing kidding me?! Due to my MS Flareup and increased symptoms since early summer, we were living paycheck to paycheck. Since I cannot work FT or even PT right now due to cognitive and physical issues.

If I am missing for a few days it's because I've lost myself in a pile of resumes to get out and I'm having a nervous breakdown.

Oh and the wedding is officially now postponed indefinitely AND we can only get 50% of our money back. Is it a full moon out?

I'm going to go take a few Neurontin, Xanax and Baclofen right now and drink heavily so I sleep tonight!

Oh Lanette, I'm so sorry to hear this terrible news. I'll send you soothing energies so you know I'm thinking about you.

Lanette, I'm so sorry, truly sorry. This is horrible news which neither of you needed...ever. I'm thinking of you and will do the same as Joan. Soothing and calming energies and thoughts coming your way.

OMG, this is just awful!! As if you needed more on your plate right now! Are the resumes yours or your finaces?

I certainly know what its like to live paychack to paycheck cuz that's what we're doing now. I can't even imagine him losing his job.

Thinking of you, take care!

I'm sorry to hear this. And so sad that you have to postpone your beautiful wedding in paradise. :(

My hubby is unemployed right now too. Because of the MS I can't send him out to get a job/any job like I could if it was me. He can't be on his feet and most retail jobs would require that.

I am praying the economy starts to turn up again after the election uncertainty is over. Usually that is the case, but I fear it may be too low to rebound this time. :(

Good luck with the resumes. Are they for you or for him?

Oh my, I am so sorry to read this. Will you lose your deposit if you just change the date? Maybe getting married earlier is for the better?

God has a plan, so they say, just wait for him to show it to you.

Hang in there -- Such a shame.....

Joan - Thank you for the soothing energies!

Lisa - I can always use more good energy and thoughts coming my way.

Braincheese - My thoughts exactly...WTF?! LOL :)

Abby - I am working on both our resumes and see if I can get back to work in an administrative type position. I was doing high level IT work before, but, it would stress me too much now.

Tricia - I understand how hubby feels and I would work retail too if I could. I am working on both our resumes right now.

Anne - I've found another option...read my good news in my latest post! :)
