Hello All! Today was a good day here! I had been not focusing on my upcoming Jamaican wedding at all for weeks now with this flare-up, just trying to make it day by day and finally...today I had a good leg day. One good leg day...that's all it took for me to look forward a bit. I realize it was 1 day, but, I am SO hopeful that more good leg days are down the week and the month ahead and that the future will be bright!

I actually had a trip to the ER on Monday - apparently when your Neuro does not taper you off high doses of steroids your adrenal gland can just forget to start back up again. I passed out, they revived me and now on taper steroids. Ei Yi Ei...always something. However, today...today, my legs a little spastic and weak...were better. Not I'm going to go run a marathon or bike miles better...but, I walked about 1/2 mile around the block without a cane better!

These baby steps give me hope that I will be able to go to my Jamaican wedding mid-november and have that run as usual! We have the travel insurance and don't have to make any changes/cancellations till mid-october so for now...it is still on! I did get a little hot today and dizzy but it passed. Does anyone ever get used to daily dizzy spells without it throwing them into a full blown panic attack? I need to conquor that in the next 6 weeks before the wedding!
So here are some pictures of where I will be getting married...in a few weeks...provided all complications are gone...

Wow what an absolutely gorgeous place! I hope you have a fantastic time there!
Hi Lanette--
I had a neuro fill in for my own, and he didn't prescribe a taper-down. The nurse who set up my at-home infusions was surprised. So I finished the infusions and completely crashed the first day steroid-free. I was dragged into my neurologist's (who was then back) by my mom and all he could exclaim was "Oy Vey!" So I did a taper-down. Definitely a disturbing experience..
Glad you're rebounding a little.

SWEET. 1990's, I was never even OFFERED a taper down! Grrrr
