Positive Monday - Florida

My Dad and His Boat

Hello! Here I am back from Florida a week later and time to post about Positive Monday (I may have a bitching Tuesday or Wednesday though! LOL) I'll include pics from our trip!

1. I went to Florida to visit Family and had a wonderful time on Clearwater Beach, eating at the Columbia Restaurant, Going Boating with my Dad and enjoying the Florida spring weather! Happy Dad is enjoying his new boat!

2. My hubby got a call about a possible job opportunity, so he applied via a Recruiter and we'll see what happens. If Hubby gets a new job with Rockin' benefits, we can drop my COBRA payment each month.

3. We saw the these cool heron birds that were about 4 feet tall walking around at my dad's house - amazing the wildlife in Florida. We also saw a Gator in the lake we were boating in - he was sunning him self - pretty big guy!

4. My Blood Pressure with NO Meds was perfect the whole time I was in Florida. And all my palpitations are gone. I think it's stress that does it to me. In Florida, even with the heat, I felt better. It was good!

5. I got to visit with my Nephew, Michael, in Florida and he is one really cool kid. Doesn't hurt he looks like my Hubby, so I think he's cute! LOL

6. We are going to Florida again in June for a week long vacation and to see Michael graduate from High School.

7. It's good to go on vacation, but, it's great to be home and sleeping in my own bed.

8. I haven't had to cook for 1 week now! :-) Though I am tired of eating out!

9. I ate 1 salad everyday while I was on vacation - this is a record for me - probably because I don't like making salad at home.

10. My sister, Mary who accompanied me on my trip goes home from our house tomorrow morning and trust me this is a positive thing.

The person with MS can suffer almost any neurological symptom or sign, including changes in sensation (hypoesthesias and paraesthesias), muscle weakness, muscle spasms, or difficulty in moving;^[15] difficulties with coordination and balance (ataxia);^[15] problems in speech (dysarthria) or swallowing (dysphagia),^[16] visual problems (nystagmus, optic neuritis, or diplopia),^[17] fatigue, acute or chronic pain,^[18]^[19] and bladder and bowel difficulties.^[19]^[20] Cognitive impairment of varying degrees and emotional symptoms of depression or unstable mood are also common.^[21]^[22] The main clinical measure of disability progression and symptom severity is the Expanded Disability Status Scale or EDSS.^[23]

Multiple sclerosis relapses are often unpredictable, occurring without warning and without obvious inciting factors. Some attacks, however, are preceded by common triggers. Relapses occur more frequently during spring and summer.^[24] Infections such as the common cold, influenza, or gastroenteritis increase the risk of relapse.^[25]^[26] Stress may also trigger an attack.
